What you've all been waiting for (EDITED IMPORTANT)

Right I'm seriously happy with the Music thing so it's time to tell you how to use it. There are a few steps but follow each one really well and we'll soon be on our way to some serious stuff. So here goes:

1. Download SmartFTP from www.smartftp.com. This will help a lot so download it!


2. Install it of course.


3. When you've installed it, at the top you will see three empty fields: ADDRESS, LOGIN and PASSWORD and PORT. Enter the following info as shown:

1. Now press enter and it will (hopefully) log on to the FTP server. When you’re in you’ll see two things in the left pane – the root directory and a folder called music. Obviously you put the music in the music one. To do this double click on the music folder, then right click in the RIGHT pane and go to Upload…Direct and select a file.


2. The next step is the ultra important one – go back to the root and download the playlist.m3u file. If it asks to open in Tunes or WMP don’t and choose to open in Notepad.


3. Once you have this file, follow the template I have set out and don’t try to be clever. Just do what I have done and everything will be a-okay.


4. Save the m3u file, delete the existing one on the server, upload the edited playlist direct back to the place you downloaded it from and then quit or disconnect. Voila that should be it.


5. If you’re going to be clever, change the ID3 tags to show YOUR name as well.

Yeah I know the numbering is screwed but Blogger is stupid...
